Student LyFE

If you are interested in helping run the Student Lyfe window, planning and working pop-up events after school, and planning spirit days among other things, please reach out to Mr. Kaufman.

 

Art Club
Interested in the Art? Come join us for some fun! The Art Club will meeting on Wednesdays, at 3:30 pm in Mrs. Rapp’s room, C-1. Please check the daily school announcements for meeting updates. 

You Be the Chemist Club
Are you interested in chemistry and want to compete with schools across the country? Mr. Kauffman is looking for 3 or 4 hard working students to join the You Be the Chemist Team. You must be motivated to learn and compete. Please see Mr. Kauffman in Room A7 for more information and check the daily school announcements for meeting updates. 

Homework Club
Students who want to complete their homework and/or read quietly can come to the library Monday through Thursday after school from 3:20-4:20pm. Homework club is supervised by Mrs. Abud and several other Brownell Staff members. 

Lego Club
The Lego Club meets on Thursdays after school -- all interested students are welcome to join. Please check the daily school announcements for meeting updates. 

Game Club
If you're interested in playing board games, chess, checkers, and D&D then the Game Club is your place to be. Game Club is open to all students and is directed by Mr. Kettel's in Room A6. The first meeting date is Thursday, November 9th. 

Radically Inclusive Club
The Radically Inclusive Club (formerly known as the Bridge Club) is back in action.  Please check the daily school announcements for meeting updates. All interested students are welcome to join in on the fun.
 
 
Competitive Cheer
If you're interested in being part of Competitive Cheer this team is for you. A parent and student meeting for Grosse Pointe United - Competitive Cheer will be held on Wednesday, 11/8 at Grosse Pointe South HS in Cleminson Hall at 5:45-6:15pm. Cheer is open to 6th-8th graders. No experience is required to be part of the program. 
 
The Stable
The Stable is open every day after school. Students may stop by and purchase a snack on their way home. The Stable sells ice cream, chips, drinks, and various snack items. We accept cash only (no Bronco Bucks). Please be patient since we anticipate long lines. All the proceeds go directly back to Brownell to support students and programs. Thank you for supporting your school store.
 
Other Activities, Clubs, and Sports
Brownell has many activities, clubs, and sports. As the school year progresses we'll post and announce the dates when they begin. Typically most will not get started until late September unless it's a sport that has planned contest dates to prepare for against other schools. Students should check the daily school announcements on the school website for meeting updates on all clubs, activities, and sports. Participation in a club is a one time fee of $52 and an interscholastic sports is a one time fee of $125. You can pay here.
